The end of March saw the completion of a project at the Elme Metall service centre in Vilnius: a new bath for hot-dip galvanizing of various parts and structures was installed instead of the old one within the framework of the project.
The hot-dip galvanizing bath that is 13 m long, 1,6 m wide, 3 m deep is one of the largest in Eastern Europe. The state-of-the-art crane equipment available at the centre allows using the bath for processing parts weighing up to 12.5 tons.
In addition to the newly replaced 50-ton bath itself, the bath’s thermal insulation was also replaced, and the molten zinc heating system was improved.
The Elme Metall service centre in Vilnius has been operating since 2008, and it provides hot-dip galvanizing services to partners from the Baltic States, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. The service centre provides components processing for:
– the renewable energy industry;
– lifting, transport and power equipment for industrial applications;
– the civil and industrial construction sector, and the infrastructure facilities construction sector.
