Over 400 tons of reinforcement details have already been manufactured for construction of wind turbine foundations. A total of 1,300 tons of foundation components will be delivered to the new wind farm consisting in total of 12 wind turbines and producing emission-free renewable energy for the Finnish electricity grid with a nominal capacity of 68.4 MW.
The share of renewables in electricity consumption has steadily grown over the last few years, and wind power is one of the fastest-growing renewable energy technologies. With that in mind, Elme Metall’s order book continues to grow thanks to an increase in the number of wind power projects.
In the last few years alone, the company has supplied reinforcement details for some largest wind farms currently under construction, such as Nysäter Onshore Wind Farm in northern Sweden, Telšiai onshore wind farm in the Tryškiai region of western Lithuania, and Korkeakangas onshore wind park in Karstula, central Finland.
