The installation of a new plasma cutter in the Elme Metall service centre in Klaipeda is currently in full swing. The machine is expected to be put into operation this July.
The new machine’s cutting table is large enough to process sheets up to 3000 mm x 27000 mm in size and up to 75 mm in thickness; alternatively, it can take several standard-length sheets at the same time. The bevel cutting option that supports the processing of various bevels will eliminate additional manual post-processing operations.
The machine also features an innovative automatic fixture that can be used for drilling and thread cutting.
The automated ink marker for part marking and nesting will completely eliminate any manual marking and nesting operations.
Plasma cutting machine operators and process engineers developing cutting sequences are to have training in the Messer Cutting Systems Academy in Germany.
