At the end of March, Estonian Ambassador to Latvia Eerik Marmei visited our service centre in Riga. Member of the Board of ELME Metall Algerd Andruškevitšus, Director of ELME Metall’s subsidiary in Latvia Maksims Malanjins and Commercial Director Sergejs Vasiljevs told Ambassador and Business and Investment Advisor Signe Millere about the ELME Metall Group’s activities in five countries, significant projects and future plans. In the course of the conversation, the diplomat noted that Estonia is the second largest foreign investor in Latvia.
During the visiting tour in the service centre, the guests were able to see for themselves the entire process of manufacturing of details from rolled metal bars, profiles and pipes for the following implementation in the offshore wind energy, ship repair and shipbuilding projects, in manufacturing of metal structures etc.
The ambassador was impressed by the high-tech equipment of the service centre, solid approach to work and working conditions in the company, thus his visit took far longer than was actually scheduled.
