From 29 September to 1 October 2026, Tampere hosted the Alihankinta 2026 industrial trade fair, where Elme Metall participated with its own stand. The event gave Elme Metall a great chance to strengthen ties with existing customers, discuss ongoing projects and establish new business contacts.
Jegor Bolshakov, Project Manager at Elme Metall, considers Alihankinta an excellent opportunity to meet clients and partners in person. He notes that the company can meet representatives of many companies in just a day and a half; visiting them individually would take around two weeks. These conversations cover current projects and plans for the coming year, helping to build closer working relationships.
Elme Metall’s team in Finland focused on attracting new customers. The fair put them in contact with companies looking for new suppliers, exploring alternatives or seeking to broaden their cooperation. These interactions help Elme Metall consolidate its position in the Finnish market and support future growth.
According to Algerd Andruškevitšus, a member of Elme Metall’s Board, participation in Alihankinta is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its international cooperation. Key priorities include strengthening its presence in overseas markets, increasing export potential, finding new partners and developing joint projects with Finnish companies. Raising awareness of Elme Metall’s products and services among potential customers is also important.
Elme Metall has attended Alihankinta every year since the late 2000s, presenting its products and services at its own stand. The only exception was during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the fair was held online.
Alihankinta is Finland’s largest industrial trade fair, bringing together companies from a range of sectors, including metalworking, plastics and electronics. In 2026, the fair focused on growth and internationalisation, with key themes including the development of international supply chains, expansion into new markets, automation and artificial intelligence.
